Hey all!
Chasing the Sunset is moving servers this weekend. If you see this message, it means you're on our old server. Don't worry, in a few days at most you should be on the new one.
Commenting has been disabled on the old server to make the move easier (it works on the new server) so don't even try.
See you on the other side!
Sadly, Terry Pratchett was diagnosed with a rare form of early onset Alzheimers. He's staying optimistic and vouchsafes that he will finish a few more books yet. We from Chasing the Sunset wish the best of luck to pterry. I'm sure the best minds in the world are as we speak working on finding a cure for him (altho in the margins there might be an enumerated sketch for a device for destroying cities by osmosis).
So I was checking some stats on the server today and found out something we already knew: we have awesome readers!
Since we enabled commenting, you guys, girls and miscellaneous have posted 16819 comments totaling an amazing 2015439 characters of pure text!
To put that into perspective: that's about 1260 novel pages of pure uninterrupted text. That is to say, together you have commented more than the entirety of the lord of the rings trilogy, including addendums!
I was going to say who had the most/longest comments, but I don't want to start a competition :)
For those who wonder, however,
... for putting these on the front page :)
But she needs some self esteem. For some reason she thinks she's ugly, but well ... look at this little photoshoot:

Ayne is dressed to stun, though, and I suspect that it's deliberate and that she was paying attention to Leaf's aunt all along.

Dark Dragon says:
why is Ayne carrying her bow, arrows, and sword if she's going to a diplomatic meeting? Wouldn't they be forbidden?
Sparrow says:
And Ayne's reasoning. "...short is good for dwarves..."
Baldric says:
I liked her interaction with the dwarf. Looks like Ayne wants to be both a fearsome warrior AND a lady that turns heads.

Nebra Reppalk says:
Also, is it bad that I think it's natural to bring weapons to a diplomatic meeting? I mean, there's always the ceremonial "coming armed but laying aside your arms to show good intentions".

Anyway, it's an Amazon bow, so she could always say she needs it as part of her role as ambassador

If the dwarves allow
Weapons at diplomatic meeetings
At the current (now).
Nebra Reppalk says:
Remember, I'm only speaking for my clan. Traditions can vary from clan to clan, and I can't tell you about the dwarves in CtS.
